Murnane was awarded the contract to construct
the massive Ralph and Fay Whitney Applied Technology Center on the Campus
of Onondaga Community College.
The complex blend of construction materials and high technology made
the Applied Technology Center a difficult construction challenge.
The facility was heralded by community leaders as a giant step towards
developing a hightly skilled and trained workforce that Central New York
desperately needs to attract technology and manufacturing companies to
the area.
The facility has received wide praise from the community, architectural
associations, trade groups as well as the students and faculty of OCC
who use the building every day.
“The OCC academic population will benefit from the versatility
of this building and its outstanding quality of workmanship evident throughout.”
— Dr. Neal Raisman, President OCC |
